Details

After a number of requests the 2012 event will again allow entry for fast monohulls. Entries and notices of intent to race are now welcomed from boats meeting the class splits below. If your class is not listed and would like to enter the event, please contact us and state your claim for inclusion.

Monohulls of PN 948 and faster
Small cats of SCHRS 1.195 to 1.400
Large cats of SCHRS 1.194 and faster

The 2012 race format will consist of the following;

Saturday 26 May - Short distance race. Start time 2pm, start from club line, out of Southampton Water to Coronation buoy, and back. Followed by a windward leeward course set of Weston Sailing Club

Sunday 27 May - The Solent Slog, Long distance race. Start time 11am, start from club or committee boat line (dependent on wind direction).

start, Coronation buoy, Browndown, Gillkicker point (Gosport), Mother Bank, Prince Consort (Cowes), Peters & May gate, Hurst buoy (The needles), Peters & May, finish at Weston Sailing Club
